THEY ALL WORK TOGETHER

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28(KJV)

Have you ever gone to a soccer game, basketball game or football game and saw just one player doing all of the work? Of course not! As great coaches always say, "there’s no I in team". A successful win in any arena requires all components to work together to obtain the prize.

This is exactly how God designed your life to go. Everything in your life is working to get you to the ultimate prize of wholeness in the Father. Good, bad or indifferent, everything that happens to us or for us, God will ensure that it works out in our benefit in the end. Trust God that he hears, sees and knows exactly what’s going to happen in your life from the beginning to the end. Your future is bright and full of hope.

ARE YOU STAGGERING?

"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God." Romans 4:20 (KJV)

Across many cultures, promises are made all the time. We make promises when we marry, when we are in court. Parents make promises to their children, while leaders make promises to their nations. Our word becomes our bond in many instances.

The Bible tells us here that Abraham staggered not at the promises of God. He did not allow anything to take his focus off of what God has said. What do you believe God for? Take the time this week and search the scriptures about God’s promises. And know that if He said it, surely He will bring it to pass.

DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF THE VISION

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)

Has God given you a vision? Where do you see yourself in the near future? Where do you see your family, spouse or loved ones? What ministry gift has God entrusted to you to bless the Body of Christ with?

One modern day visionary that stands out in my mind is Dr. Martin L. King. He had a dream that forever changed the lives of so many people. He saw a need and God gave him the tools and the mission to bring change to our society. What is it that God has been speaking to you about? I encourage you this week to write the vision and make it plain. Ask God to give you wisdom and direction about what steps to take. Never let your dreams die.

EXCUSES, EXCUSES

"But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Jeremiah 1:7 (KJV)

Many times in our lives we make so many excuses about why we feel we are incapable of doing what God asked us to do. We never once take in consideration, that if He asked us, we must have the ability to do it.

Here in Jeremiah, the Lord had to encourage Jeremiah to stop giving excuses about what he could not do. No matter what you think your limitations are, God desires to use you. So make the decision this week; no more excuses. Just say yes, and trust God with the details.

LET HOLY SPIRIT BE YOUR TEACHER

"Lead me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou are the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day". Psalm 25: 5(KJV)

As we are preparing for a new school year, your child is probably anticipating their new classroom and new teacher. Teachers are one of the most gifted professions in our society. They have the awesome task to take an unknowing mind and fill it with lucrative information that will help them succeed in life.

Holy Spirit has often been called our teacher and guide. He is there to shape and mold our minds to the Word of God. The Bible tells us that He is there to lead us into truth for He is the God of our salvation. Let Holy Spirit be your guide today and make the decision to lean on, depend and trust in Him.

GIVE HIM GLORY

"Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name." Psalm 29:2(KJV)

Have you ever seen an award show where actors and musicians were praised for their accomplishments for the year? The fans and peers of these people took time out of their busy schedules to give honor where it was due.

When was the last time that you truly honored the Father? Often times, we get so busy with the hustle and bustle of life that we forget to stop and give God glory for the things that he has done. So right where you are, stop and give glory unto God’s name. Let Him know that He is worthy and worth all of your praise and adoration. Make a conscious decision to keep praise continually on your lips for God.

YOU HAVE BEEN COMMANDED TO REJOICE!

"But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that , when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." 1 Peter 4:13 (KJV)

When we are facing life’s challenges, the first thing we are tempted to do is let our negative emotions overtake us. We allow ourselves sometimes to get so overwhelmed by what’s going on around us that we forget what we are supposed to do in adverse situations.

In 1 Peter the Bible reminds us to rejoice. Rejoice means to feel joyful; be delighted. Now I know you may be thinking that you don’t have anything to “be joyful” about, but if you take your focus off of the problem and turn it to the problem solver, you will find your joy and peace in Him. Each day this week, when you are tempted to worry or get distracted, ask Holy Spirit to fill you with His joy and begin to rejoice!
